Repurposed Jacket/Blazer

Hi, (stands with head hanging in shame)
Not really but its a great visual for the story :)

My name is Ginger and I am a Glue gun addict.........
I have taken people's property and ripped it up to glue gun it to Lord knows what....I admit it and am not ready to let it go....

(Audience: Yay! Snaps for Ginger)
 Legally Blonde reference

I really didn't take said item like in a stealing way, it was left behind by a co-worker who retired.

I LUV her to death, but this JACKET/BLAZER was
Capitol H-I-D-E-O-U-S...
Seriously, I never saw her wear it but, it was stashed in her desk like a backup 'just in case'
"I have an important meeting to attend."

Believe me I did her a favor!

I saw this jacket and it had a BURLAP-Y, TWEED, LINEN fabric.
Really, who wears burlap?!?!?  Unless you're a POTATO!!
(ooooooooo me, me, me, if I could find a way to make it look cute :)
Most people wouldn't think of doing so if they don't want to be exiled to a desolate island of fashion misfits.

I decided I would make a wreath from this JACKET!?
UPCYCLE,RE-PURPOSE SUCCESS!

Burlap and Blue..Inspired by burlap and blue blog!

I know she looks unfinished with the raw edges but I like that about it. She's in my bathroom that I am redecorating kinda shabby chic.

I don't have a tutorial for this project because I did it a very long time ago and did not take shots of the process. But it is very easy.
  1. Visit your local Goodwill (they usually have them .99 cents) or Craft store and purchase a wreath form.(this one was straw.)
  2. Cut 2 inch strips of your fabric. (This was UGLY jacket fabric. :))
  3. Turn on your glue gun.
  4. Wrap you strips around the wreath at an angle one at a time trying to end in the back
  5. Dab glue on the wreath and adhere the fabric
  6. Decorate the wreath after its covered.
Here are some other wreaths that can inspire your inner wreath decorator.

Faith Hope Love  If you wanna attempt a more elaborate wreath.
You see, the possibilities are endless! Let your imagination run. But my main point is that you don't have to go out and spend a lot of money to do this.
Mine,$2!!
[Wreath .99 cents, and I'll count the lace (.99 cents at hancock fabrics on sale) but I bought it for something else but it wasn't enough. Ribbon from a friend and flower scrap fabric from a previous project.]

(PS THERE ARE SOME ON ETSY BETWEEN $50-$75)

'TAS LOCA   (Means your CRAAAAAZZZZYYYYYY girl in tex-mex spanish :)! George Lopez Style :)

Happy Saturday Peeps!
