Goodwill Chair Reupholstered!

Yes, REALLY.
I Reupholstered a chair....
Say What?
Yup!! I did it! :) It's so empowering and makes ya' wanna rip up EVERYTHING!

BEFORE:                                                                 AFTER:

I have been wanting to do this

FOR.A.REALLY.LONG.TIME

I bought this chair a few months ago and it
SAT, and SAT, and SAT in the garage and
finally I decided to
A-T-T-A-C-K,  A-T-T-A-C-K :)

This chair was $5 at the Goodwill and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try this project with such a CHEAP subject!!

PROOF!!

I sanded any visable wood and primed with a white spray can primer (Already had)...then spray painted white with a 97cent can of Walmart spray paint .

After paint dries, GET TO RIPPING...This chair was mounted with nails!! SHEESH!
{I tried to be as gentle as possible so that I could use the fabric as a pattern. }

Anywho, after I took off  first piece of fabric,

THERE WAS ANOTHER LAYER!!!!

Goodness, gracious!!
More Ripping! (VEry theraputic)

But actually this layer came off easier and I was able to salvage it as the pattern.
This chair required three pieces of fabric....2 1/2 yards was PERFECT!!

(I once saw a blog post that had all the measurements to reupholseter different kinds of chairs...I CANNOT FIND IT! But I kinda had to wing the How TO Reupholster a chair from memory..why with all of blogland's expertise? Because when I
A-T-T-A-C-K there is no pausing)

I assembled the chair back the way it was when I removed it... and used a staple gun..
(A note: the way it was originally upholstered you cannot see the staples)

IT WORKED!!!

WOOHOO! Custom chair for about $20!!
 WUV IT!

So excited!! The only thing..I'm not sure if I like the color :( It's for Little Helper's room.. Well, now that I have done one I can do it over if I have to ...

Also, what do y'all think?
Should I put an Initial on the headrest or some sort of design?

Thanks for reading :) Good DAY!
