Too Many Projects, So Little Time

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Ok, so that was me screaming.....
Just for a breath of fresh air.

I love my life, I love ALLLL the inspiration the Lord Blessed me with....
But I have been blessed with so much, I need to start learning to have better time management. :)

You see, at work I have learned to multi-task and manage different tasks on deadlines....but once I get home I thought I could turn off my brain...( or least turn it off to enjoy time with my husband and daughter)
All my current tasks really do take little or NO brain activity but its the time consumption that gets me.....

So it really is a matter of TOO MANY THINGS, TOO LITTLE TIME!
  1. Edit Newborn Pictures
  2. Make 4 canvas prints for little helpers new room
  3. make white ruffle pillow for little helper's bed
  4. Silhoutte pillow for little helper's bed
  5. mod podge 4 barbie canvases(?)
  6. complete four image wall art print
  7. Finish painting princess vanity (touch up)
  8. Spray paint dresser mirror black
  9. Spray paint wall cube black
  10. Spray paint chandelier white
  11. Spray paint other chandelier black and white
  12. Complete outdoor lanterns with images
  13. add more tulle to bed crown
  14. make costume
  15. make food cards for table
  16. make birthday banner
  17. make cupcake wrappers
  18. make chandelier
  19. make treat bags
  20. make balloons
  21. make dessert tray
  22. make centerpieces
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!{AGAIN}

Oh my Gosh, first I had these bulleted and then I decided to number them (there are more) and went "holy Ba-JEEZERS!!"

So needless to say, I must return to my daily work duties and multi-task in my brain how I will manage to "MEET MY DEADLINES" on these tasks VERY SOON! :)

Wish me luck, say a prayer, light a candle!
Happy TUESDAY!

It's not TOO LATE!!

So, I wrote a post a few months ago about shedding the baby weight I have allowed to stick around for almost 3 long years.

I cannot tell you HOW GOOD I FEEL NOW...
But it hasn't come easy..
I mean like RIDICULOUSLY TOUGH, HARD, SWEATY, GRUELING WORKOUTS..
And they are all things that you can do at home, without equiptment...

My co-worker JUDYANN Gonzales deserves
ALL CREDIT DUE FOR MOTIVATING AND CREATING THIS BODY I HAVE now...

Well,
wait I deserve a little credit tooooooo
BECAUSE I am the one WORKING MY BUTT OFF LITERALLY.

See that's her to your right of me in blue..
{p.s. don't mind my comb-over :) BWAHAHAHA}
This is at "FIELD DAY" for our kids, so we have and excuse for dressing like bums :)

But she has created, gathered and developed our workouts for our WORKSITE WELLNESS.

If you haven't heard about this concept it is a VERY BIG CONVERSATION being tossed around in the business world.

You see, if you are unhealthy; your company has to pay more for your medical benefits, or you will be sick and miss work and there are many other complications that your company will deal with resulting from your unhealthy-ness. So if your company invests in your health it is beneficial to them in the long term.  Some companies are even claiming that they will make you pay for your own insurance if you do not participate in WELLNESS or are considered unhealthy.

Anywho, we have been developing a program/curriculum to sell and package to corporations interested in investing time to get there employees healthy.

Our program which consists of 30min. 3 times a week is no joke..
not just a walk, or sit and be fit....
It includes moderate to vigorous physical activity (MVPA) including exercises that provide maximum fat burn (of course Judy picks those for us) without needing any equiptment other than your own body weight.
It will also include nutritional, and lifestyle education..
But for our sake we are the guinea pigs for workouts..(can't complain, LOVE IT)

To date in 4 months:
  • I have lost 18 pounds and 4.5 inches off my waistline. (with supplements)
  • The girl all the way to the right of the picture has lost 12-13 pounds and 5.5 inches off her waistline
  • The girl all the way to the left (who was already fit and runs often already) has lost 4 pounds and an unknown amount of inches...:)
  • And there are other participants in our program that have also experienced healthy results
WE have to be healthy to teach
a healthy lifestyle to our kids!

So I wanted to share with you some workouts that we do.....
This one specifically we will do on off days if Judy isn't around or we feel like throwig it in to ease up.

It has come off the internet....so please do not think we made it up.
(I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT CREDIT IS DUE WHERE CREDIT IS DUE)
I don't know who created it but I found this FABULOUS graphic that has all the exercises on it!!

And ADD 20 yard SPRINTS in between each exercise...
YOU WILL FEEL AMAZING!!

YOU CAN DO IT!!
It will be summer here for at least 3 months so you still have time for that "BIKINI" body :)

Encouraging Words

One of those days...

What to do? What to do?
Google what you need to read...
Grab your Bible and absorb the word.
Sometimes we just need a reminder...

For me today,

Stay positive and know who you are
Stay positive and you will go far
Stay positive if someone puts you down
Stay positive wear a smile not a frown....
Author-Berine?

Help me Lord to Live these words!

I have SOOOOOO MUCH to be thankful for, Thank you Jesus!

Friday Fun Fact!! {SUPERTASTERS??}

SUPER TASTERS!!!

Are you a "super taster"?

"Supertasters" taste everything with an intensity
far greater than the average person.

That means things are 10 times spicier, bitter, sweeter to them; so much so that they don't really like very many things.

Supertasters tend to dislike strong, bitter foods like raw broccoli, grapefruit juice, coffee and dark chocolate. This group accounts for about a third of the population.

Another third of the population are considered "Nontasters."

Nontasters think everything taste the same and
are not really easily excited about the taste of food.

This group is the most likely of all three groups to prefer food that is intensely sweet.

And lastly the regular tasters....
Nothing is overbearing or intense, hopefully you are this :)

So which are you????

Why would it matter.....

Because Supertasters typically eat less in general...
There are typically categorized as "picky" eaters, when in fact, they just dont like things because they are too intense for them. This would lead to certain types of vitamin and mineral deficiencies.

They do however tend to consume more salt than "nontasters" due to the fact that they mask bitter taste with salt....

"Nontasters" tend to develop eating habits than can lead to obesity and being overweight because they are pleased with taste of all foods....
especially Intensely sweet ones, consuming more calories

Find out which type of taster you are!
there are 2 ways....

1. look at your tongue in the mirror; if you have significantly more "taste buds" than others (look at your friends' tongues, so people won't think your weird) then you are a

SUPERTASTER!!!
Beware of salt and make sure you intake enough vegetables and fruit!!

If you have significanlty fewer then you may be a NONTASTER...
Beware of the SWEETS!

And hopefully you are just "Normal" with a normal amount of taste buds.
You make like and dislike things evenly.
2. you can do it the fun way!! punch a hole in a index card. place a drop of blue food coloring on your tongue. and put the of the index card on your tongue, count how many taste buds are in that hole if you have 25 or more
fungiform papiliae...
you are a SUPERTASTER!!
